The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens (Deerfield, IL) in Aug 2007
Interview
It took quite a while to be contacted after I first applied (more than a month). Once I completed my phone interview, I had subsequent in-person interviews. The meetings with the hiring manager and other dept manager focused mostly on my experience. Director and VP interviews were more conversational.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Walgreens (Akron, OH) in Jun 2007
Interview
The district manager had my resume and took notes on it while he interviewed me. He asked me a series of questions relating to what I imagined a management position would be like and why I would be an asset to the company. I only had one interview and he said that if he was interested I would receive an offer letter in an email within a week.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens in Jul 2009
Interview
Met with a store manager that was in charge of hiring for the district. The interview lasted about 2 hours with me. After that interview, about a week later I was called in to interview with the district manager. That was only a 10 minute interview. I got the job offer one week after that. You have to take a drug test (urine test) within 48 hours of the offer, and they will also do a criminal background check on you. You also take a skills test on the computer. They will test you on basic math skills like if the item is $3.99 and a customer gives you $10.00, how much change do you give back? Also they will show you coupons and ask you questions regarding the coupons.
