I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens (San Antonio, TX) in Sep 2013
Interview
Come in early in the morning and ask about your application. Easiest way to speed up the process. They asked me about my experience/things that I liked as I had none. It was pretty lax in my opinion but others claimed it to be rough. Must depend on the store managers mood or how you act. Nothing to worry about as long as you don't do anything ridiculous.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have any experience handling money/how are your math skills
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walgreens (Madison, WI) in Mar 2015
Interview
It involved applying online at home or at a store on one of their computers. After entering some basic info and answering some personality questions, they have you come in to the store to do a skills assessment on one of their computers. In my experience, I was asked for an interview in the store immediately after I finished the skills assessment. It was a fairly basic interview with basic questions based on your answers to the skills assessment and personality questions. I was offered a job directly after the interview.

Question 1
Why Walgreens? Name one time you failed and how you dealt with it. How do you go about working with others. Name one time you worked with/helped others. What do you do if you can't solve a problem?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens (Pensacola, FL) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied online then practiced for the basic test before coming in to take it. It involves money handling, customer service, and attitudes. I called the Store Assistant Manager 2-3 days later and asked about my scores. He said I had passed everything with 'Highly Recommended'. As I had been laid off, I was persistent in getting a job, constantly stopping by to see if there were any openings. It paid off. 2 people were moving on so I was hired as one of the new people on the team.
