I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone
Interview
Application form, numerical/verbal tests, telephone interview, selection day.
Assessment day consisted of a group task, a presentation (that you had to prepare beforehand) and an hour long interview.
Interview started asking about school, university, volunteering experiences. Then moved on to competency questions followed by why vodafone etc.
Everyone was very friendly, welcoming and relaxed. Each candidate got given their own 'buddy' for the day.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone (Newbury, England) in Mar 2012
Interview
First stage - an online application form
Second stage - logical test (SHL type). The test is very easy - some questions are the same as the practice ones on SHL
Third stage - telephone interview. Duration: no more than 30 minutes. Asked are about 4 questions. Two of them were: Tell me about a time when you had use feedback from others to achieve a goal; Tell me about a time when you've experienced a challenging environment
Fourth and last stage - assessment centre. It consisted of two one-to-one interviews, a presentation, and a group exercise.
Each one-to-one interview was 20 minutes long, asked were standard competency based questions. Make sure your responses are very detailed and the examples you are using are complex, preferably from your experience in the industry.
The presentation was about 5 minutes long. You had to prepare it in advance, at home, and you've got a couple of days to do it. No PowerPoint was required, and unless you are advised to do a PowerPoint, don't do one.
Group exercise - easy to grasp, but there's a lot of information to read for a short period of time. Make sure you jump in first, speak a lot, keep an eye on the time, maintain a good eye contact with all participants and constantly ask them whether they are happy with the decisions that are being taken.
