Super fast process which was nice as I had some deadlines. Most everyone I met with was great and fortunately, I wasn't asked the same questions over and over again.
Where it got messy and impersonal was at the offer stage (where there should be an emphasis on the personal aspect). You're working with one recruiter through the process then you're passed off to another one then you talk to another recruiter about comp then back to the second recruiter. Just seems like an extremely inefficient process. What would have been nice is to have the manager I'm reporting to maybe send an email to say congrats? Or how about we're excited to potentially have you on the team? Or maybe hey, let me know if you have any questions? Nothing at all...just you have 5 days to make a decision because there's someone right behind you.
I haven't accepted or declined yet, but I know for sure they need to be more personal with potential colleagues and has soured my experience compared with other companies who truly give a crap about each individual they want to hire.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
Fairly quick process took me about two weeks. I was reached out to by another recruiter. Two phone screens and then an onsite. It's a tough but fair process. I really enjoyed the experience top-to-bottom.

You have to do a presentation during your onsite. It does take some work but really gives you a chance to separate yourself from the pack
