This was probably the worst interview experience I've been through.
Applied online, got a call back from recruiter. Talked me through the role and asked some pretty standard questions. The recruiter then moved me onto the interview with the hiring manager and sent me an email to help me prepare for the interview.
The call was scheduled via a video call service, but it was a one-way video call (your camera is on, interviewer's isn't). In the call itself, the hiring manager did not listen to anything I said. They were very delayed in responding to me (I assume they were busy doing something else on their computer - there were 5 sec gaps, where I had to say "hello?' to make sure they were still there). 10 minutes into the interview, they said they had to take a call and made me wait on the call for 15 minutes. They came back with a simple "sorry, go on", and gave me short, 10 second answers to my questions and ended the interview.
I honestly feel like I dodged a bullet, and don't think I'll be back applying to another position at Uber anytime soon.
