I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (Sídney) in May 2014
Interview
First step was a happy hour meeting, where they played a video and answered questions from the candidates. I was then sent an online analytical test where they sent me excel data and asked me to answer a number of questions regarding the data. At the end there were some 'essay' type questions. This test was timed, and you could not move on to the next group of questions without finishing the page you were on. The first six questions on the first page were quite difficult, and so took a lot of time. I think this was intentional, to ramp up the stress and make you worry that you won't have enough time. I ended up completing it with plenty of time to spare. The next stage was submitting a series of recorded video responses to written questions. Kind of like a Skype interview, except without the interviewer. This was a strange experience, because you have to try to maintain charisma/personality without having someone to interact with. I then met with the Operaitons manager for the region, where we discussed my previous role, my interest in Uber, my qualifications, and the type of work you would do in the role. I'm waiting to hear back if I have a final round interview.

Question 1
'Tell me a bit about yourself' - the dreaded interview question, AND it was posed as a written prompt for a recorded video answer. You have a time limit for the video answers, so you have to structure and practice your reponses carefully.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Uber
Interview
I applied online and I was contacted via email. The 10 - 15 phone interview quickly turned into the recruiter grilling me with all of these hypothetical questions about manager driver relationships. Relationships key with drivers- new partners- 15 managers 300 drivers- how do you foster relationships with drivers? Received positive feedback from my phone interview. Next steps is a test 32 questions 4 "essay." An essay including basically open ended to write to drivers to convince them to work on a major holiday. Know pivot tables for the test.
