I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Tripadvisor
Interview
I sent them my resume, and they happily replied asking for a coding sample. I spent a couple of hours on the coding test, and tested my answer to make sure it was correct. Then in two days they replied saying that they had chosen other candidates to move forward with. I didn't appreciate them asking me for a coding sample if they didn't have time to interview despite performing well on their coding test.
So, I've posted their coding test below. They give you 48 hours from when you receive the email.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (Oxford, Inglaterra) in Mar 2016
Interview
Skype interview arranged by recruitment agency. Lasted for an hour, asked to write some java code. Feedback given within 24 hours. Was told that face-to-face will be for the whole day and questions and very difficult. Not specific to any programming language.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tripadvisor in Sep 2015
Interview
I spoke to a representative at a job fair, and was asked to visit my university's career center for a brief interview the same day. At the time I didn't realize that I was sitting for a purely technical screening. We shook hands, and then I was asked several pretty standard questions related to data structures and algorithms (though I was out of practice and stumbled poorly). The interviewer was very polite, spoke briefly about what his team did, and gave useful advice.
