Interview
(November 2019)
First I had a brief interview with a recruiter on campus, then I was invited to a virtual interview with a software developer and she asked a simple programming question. Then I was invited to a code challenge that I had to design, implement, and test a small system. Finally, I got three consecutive interviews on-site, where two of them were programming and one was HR.
I finally got the offer; however, duo to COVID-19, TripAdvisor revoked all internship offers.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Tripadvisor
Interview
An email asking about timing for interview.
Did an video call with a senior engineer, asked about general interest in SWE, about some past projects and what I'm most passionate about to learn.
Technical portion I completely flopped (1st interview ever lol) it was on coderpad and the interview in another tab. The coderpad had the q: check if a string is a palindrome or could be made into a palindrome.

Interview
First-round is an 1-hour live interview. Then it will be a coding challenge as the second round, and finally an on-site interview as the last round. The on-site one has three rounds, two technical and one behavioral. The process is professional and the overall experience is pretty good.
