I applied online. I interviewed at TotalEnergies (Usinsk) in Feb 2019
Interview
Phone screening, first round of HR screening, request for references, tech review of CV & references, then a series of at least 3 tech interviews with different tech representatives, usually with 2-5 persons on a single call, a lot of questions about: safety, safety, and one more time safety, law abiding, cross-team and teammate conflict resolution, then heavy bombardment with hands-on technical questions, up to a small detail of hand tools preference. All the above is for the short-listing. After that, in random order and mix - your future manager(s) & HRs, after that more focused on personality, ethics, salary negotiations, career plan and expectations from the company. My role did not assume test assignments, but if a selection process for a role may contain a test assignment, someone from a tech team may give you one.
