Toptal interview questions

The interview process consisted of 5 steps, however I failed the 3rd round twice and got banned for 18 months. - The first round was a 10-min call to talk about my background and to check my english communication. The interviewer was very nice. - The second round was coding test on Codility platform. I passed this with about 50% for scores. It was React test with provided test cases. If your code can run without errors and the test cases were coverd, then you get 100%. - The third round was the live coding interview with a person. They gave you 30min to finish a simple React app problem with 5-6 requirements. However, I found that the time was not enough for me. (I retry the same exam already knowing requiments. It also took me like 40min) The interviewer was unfriendly for my both 1st and 2nd attempts. They both were not native english speakers so the communication was a bit hard. Moreover, they only check if you correct all the requirements for the test. (One said that you have to correct 100% of the requirements to pass)

One of the requirements for the interview was professionalism, however the interviewer was late and apologized, which is understandable. Then I had 15 minutes to understand/complete a live code challenge, meaning coding fast is actually more important than design, simplicity, SOLID, OOD, test coverage, etc. When speed is more important than quality, could sound like a workplace to avoid.
