The interview process had several steps ( screening, interview, assessment, presentation, profile building) but they were very clear and well structured and screeners were very professional. I was able to take my time to go through all of it and it payed off.

This is confidential information that I cannot share.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Toptal (New York, NY) in Apr 2023
Interview
First call with a recruiter to understand the role / company and whether my experience is a good fit or not. So far pretty standard. Next step was a business case, to which you will devote 20 hrs or more. You need to record yourself as part of the business case (no live presentation). Right before sending it to the recruiter I receive a message that the position has been filled the week before (it would have been great to get this information earlier, especially given the amount of time invested so far in the case)
First stage was a recruiter screening call. After that, had an interview with hiring manager for the position. Finally, had an interview with 2nd level manager. Final interview focused on organization and culture.
