The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Toptal (Berlín)
Interview
WORSE INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE EVER
#RIDICULOUS
The initial communication was just to check English skills. Then I got 3 HUGE tasks to complete in 90min. I spent 10 min reading just one of them. The tasks are very complex and I could complete just one of them with a low score of performance.
The tasks doesn't represent the real world scenario, it is a lot of Math and hard to implement in 90min.
I really don't like this kind of interview. Just check if you are a robot and don't care how much experience you really have.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Toptal (Cape Town) in Jun 2026
Interview
The interview process has been structured and professional so far. It started with the initial application and screening, followed by an online coding assessment with algorithm-style questions focused on correctness, edge cases, and problem solving under time pressure. After completing that stage, I was invited to schedule a live technical interview. Communication has been clear, with detailed instructions about the interview format, environment requirements, screen sharing, and expectations around working without external assistance. The process feels rigorous and time-sensitive,.
