I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TikTok in Apr 2026
Interview
The process spanned almost 3 months - the recruiting team is terrible at scheduling things fast enough. They try to get a million people in these interviews, which makes it super difficult to get something in the books fast enough. My interview was rescheduled like 3-4x. The case study also doesn’t make sense - it is unnecessarily too long.

Question 1
How would you allocate budget to x if y happens etc
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Austin, TX) in Sep 2021
Interview
TikTok reached out to me since they found my resume on another past application, I was very happy to go through the process because the position sounded very interesting and it was something I know I could’ve felt very passionate about. I had three interviews, first one was with HR, second one was with another Client Solutions manager and it included a presentation, third interview was with another Client Solutions Manager. I thought I had done pretty well but two weeks passed and no one ever reached out. After the third week post interview I followed up with my HR contact and never heard back. I know TikTok is a new company so they’re still figuring out the quirks and I don’t mind being rejected, I just wish they could’ve at least provided me with some feedback so that I could continue my job search with that in mind. They did cancel on me multiple times which was okay but a bit of a red flag. I’ve read multiple reviews here where people are unhappy with the company and have no private life, and someone even said they were working over 12 hours a day…so maybe this was a blessing in disguise?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself? How would you describe your work style? How do you prioritize your work?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TikTok (Estocolmo, ) in Feb 2026
Interview
Recruiter screen → Hiring manager → Case + deck creation → Panel interview → Offer stage
The interview rounds were structured and professional. The case assignment was clear, and the panel interview went smoothly, although a scheduled grandparent interviewer did not attend and there was no separate grandparent interview afterward.
The experience changed at the offer stage. The level proposed did not match the scope discussed throughout the interviews, and the compensation presented was significantly below market for the responsibilities outlined. Requests for clarity on leveling criteria, compensation philosophy, and internal benchmarks were met with vague answers, making it difficult to understand how the offer was determined.
The team seemed alright, but the lack of transparency and the large gap between role expectations and the final offer raised concerns about internal alignment. I ultimately declined.
