Lazy recruitment. Don't get to speak to anyone and gets rejected with substantial degree. Don't bother applying, you never even hear back. (This is for the graduate programme). What happened to in person interviews?
The interview process started with an initial HR screening where they asked about my background, motivation for applying, and career goals. After that, I was asked some basic behavioral questions about teamwork, problem solving, and how I handle challenges. The overall tone was conversational, but they were also evaluating my communication skills and cultural fit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you describe a time when you solved a problem using data or analysis?
The interview will begin with a brief self-introduction where I will present my background and experiences. After that, the interviewer will start asking behavioral questions, focusing on past projects, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Then we’ll move on to case questions to evaluate strategic thinking and analytical ability. Finally, they’ll assess my ability to solve data-related questions, such as writing SQL queries or analyzing datasets. Throughout the process, I plan to use half English and half Chinese in my responses, switching naturally between the two languages depending on the context.
