I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Apr 2010
Interview
You apply online. You get a call from Home Depot's HR dept., the person asks you questions and you answer them. Then you get a call back asking for a 1:1 interview. You come in, manager asks you questions about past employment, how you would handle certain situations and writes down answers. Depending on how well you answer, he accepts or declines.

Question 1
You are working on an inventory that is due in 30 minutes. A frustrated customer comes up to you and demands help. How do you deal with the situation?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2010
Interview
Interviewed by the Regional (hiring) Manager and the District HR Manager. Typical formula based interview questions for a managerial position as established by Home Depot. Then a "role playing" situation where the interviewer was the associate that needed counseling and the interviewee was the manager. The hiring manager was an "Old School" Home Depot ex-Store Manager. Good values, seemed that he would have been a great person to work for.

Question 1
Describe a time that you've disagreed with the decision your manager has made and how you approached them to resolve the issue.
Describe a time when you've been tasked with multiple responsiblities and you needed to complete all of them in a timely manner. How did you prioritize?
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2008
Interview
I received a call from a recruiter about a week after I submitted my resume for the position. She scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager to occur a few days later. The hiring manager called and asked me a few technical security questions, along with general questions about my experience and intentions for looking around. The next day the recruiter called me in for a face-to-face interview. A few days later met with the hiring manager and another Lead Security Engineer at their SSC location in NW Atlanta. Great complex, complete with food court, gym, bank, the works. I was called back for a second interview with the hiring manager and the CISO a few days later. Asked some good questions by the CISO. Offer presented within two days after that.
Overall not a difficult interviewing process. They appear to have some very sharp people over there; if you know your stuff you should be fine.
