I applied online. I interviewed at The Cigna Group in Jun 2024
Interview
My first interview was a screening with a recruiter, after taking an online assessment and seemingly passing, they emailed me. It seems every recruiter may be different, this one gave me the choice of being on camera. They asked me basic questions, mainly determining if the schedule and requirements would be a fit. I then got moved on to schedule the main interview with the hiring manager. It was a lot of behavioral questions using the star method, and a role play. I do believe I went on tangents, giving too much information at times and I messed up a bit on the role play, I missed something the interviewer said. I didn’t get the position, however I had another recruiter reach out for a different role, that role was then cancelled. Finally I received another request to interview as I had applied to many roles and this was just a phone call. Similar questions as the other recruiter interviews. I moved on to the hiring manager and this time I had practice interview questions and was prepared. I did get an offer the next day.

Question 1
What was a time where you had conflict with someone that you worked with? How was the issue resolved?
A long of Interview process that begins with an initial screening call then another interview that's more extensive etc. and Pre-employment process takes a bit of time with the background checks which is very extensive from my experience
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Cigna Group (Bengaluru) in Apr 2026
Interview
I was referred through a friend.
And on the next day i had to give the in office interview.
I was fully prepared and the interview went very good. the interviewer was impressed by my answer and it was evident enough.
by the end of the interview the interviewer did ask me about the person who refer me and about the CTC that i last had in my previous organization. and just then Interviewers face went low and he became serious for no reason. though he was talking to me professionally, but he was a bit skeptical and was asking me unnecessary question that was not even related to the role or the process.
Later the only reason why they rejected my application was because my previous package was higher then what they had a budget for this role.
I agreed with the offer, but still they were concerned as the the interviewer had a very off mindset with the person who referred me.
and without giving any feed back, they just kept an email stating that my profile doesn't aligns with the requirement.
and technically i have 4+ years of experience in Customer Consultant for B2C, B2B and C2B customers with SaaS and Telecom tools.
I felt very bad, as they really bought there own personal agenda in between a candidate and the job the candidate is applying for.
I had a phone screen with a virtual interview it was easy and more of a get to know you interview. The interview process was an easy process. she only asked me 5 situational questions
