I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tesco (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
Generic questions aimed towards making it seem like they're interested in your experience and qualifications but really all they want to know is if you'll show up and what your availability is.
Tesco interview is a friendly, straightforward conversation focused on customer service and teamwork. Hiring managers typically ask scenario-based questions to assess how you handle fast-paced retail environments. Okay if slightly easy overall.
Pretty fun. Seemed like it would be hard work, but I thought the people would be nice to work with. All in all professional and interesting. Would recommend it as a process
Straight forward enough. Just a bit of a chat with store manager. Lasted about 20 mins or so. Had a look round the store and I asked about what the shifts were and if I could do part time to fit round school.
