I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tesco (Crawley, West Sussex, South East England, England) in Sep 2019
Interview
Group activity with various people answering questions and discussing what good customer service means. One-to-one interview asking basic questions like available hours, how flexible you are with hours. Then more focused questions about how you work in busy situations, how would you describe yourself
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Available hours? Can you work additional hours during the holidays? How do you work with others? Give an example of a time you worked under pressure. Best skills? Something you need to work on next?
Tesco interview is a friendly, straightforward conversation focused on customer service and teamwork. Hiring managers typically ask scenario-based questions to assess how you handle fast-paced retail environments. Okay if slightly easy overall.
Pretty fun. Seemed like it would be hard work, but I thought the people would be nice to work with. All in all professional and interesting. Would recommend it as a process
Straight forward enough. Just a bit of a chat with store manager. Lasted about 20 mins or so. Had a look round the store and I asked about what the shifts were and if I could do part time to fit round school.

Question 1
They asked how flexible I could be on allocation of shifts and if I could work weekends.
