I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Target (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2012
Interview
The interview process is very long. It can last 3 months or longer. I received an initial phone screen. It took about 3 weeks before I found out with who and where I would be interviewing. It took about another week to determine a time to meet my interviewer. Be sure to bring copies of your resume and CV as they had an old and out dated resume of mine even though I emailed the recruiter multiple times with my up to date resume (the other one was out dated by 4 years). After I had the initial interview I was asked to attend another round of interviews at the district and group offices. In this round there were four people I interviewed with. The first two were STLs from the group, the next was the DTL I would be working for, and the final was the HR business partner. Most other people met with the Group Leader. It took about two days before I heard back from the recruiter with an offer. They offered me an amount that came in lower than I was initially promised. I asked for the original amount, they countered with salary half way between what I asked and their initial offer. I accepted. It took another 3 weeks before I found out where I would start training.

Interview
It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
