I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Woodhaven, MI) in Oct 2009
Interview
Had a phone call to set up interview. Went the next week and interviewed with hiring manager. I then was told I would meet with the shift supervisor right after I was finished with hiring manager at that location. They told me I had the job that day.

Question 1
What leadership skills do you feel are your strongest?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2010
Interview
They kept me waiting for two hours before they actually interviewed me. Two hours after the agreed upon time. The interview was also unnecessarily long and complicated for a job pushing carts around. There were a lot of those "Tell me about a time when you had X problem at your job, and how you solved it" type of questions. The process consisted of two different interviews with two different people. The first women who interviewed me was the one that called me to schedule the interview. She asked me a lot of the same questions that we already went over on the phone. The second person asked me if I had any questions and seemed really annoyed when I actually asked some. Actually both of the interviewers seemed pretty cranky and annoyed to be talking to me at all. I decided I did not want the job in the first couple of minutes. Everything about the experience made it seem like Target would be a miserable place to work.

Question 1
Talk about a time you did not get along with a coworker. How did you resolve the problem and what was the result?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Feb 2009
Interview
Applied online on a Sunday. By Wednesday afternoon rec'd call for interview on Friday. When I arrived on Friday, they had me take "behavior" test. Interviewed 1:1, with 2 people. Basic questions (in no particular order) : 1) Why do you want to work at Target? 2) Why are you leaving your present job? 3) In what areas do you need improvemetn? 4) Without supvr's direction, describe a time when you helped someone on your own? 5) Have you ever disagreed with your boss? If so, what was the disagreement and how did you handle it? 6) How did you handle a position where a co-worker was not pulling their weight? 7) In the next 60 days will you need time off for a vacation, etc? 8) How did you turn a bad situation into a good situation? The whole process was exactly 45 minutes. I was told "If you don't hear from us by Tuesday, give us a call. Truthfully, I made the mistake of telling them "I needed 5 days off to drive my mother from Arizona. I do this every spring." I found out that during the 90 probation period Target REALLY frowns on tardiness or missed work. Advice? CLEAR YOUR CALENDAR for Target if you really, really want the job. I'll post again with the result next week. All the best... Stay calm, stay positive...
