I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Orange, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Initially you fill out an application and then they send you a link to a "virtual" interview. Be prepared this interview will ask you for your response to various potential situations, then they challenge you math skills, which if you are applying for store manager should be expected. The questions pertain to P&L sheets and how you would change your teams goals to meet projections. Afterwards you complete a section which reminds me of a personality test, which it probably is, which would you categorize yourself as... so on and so forth.

The math portion is timed and worded so that you have to think... have a ten key ready and some scratch paper.
I applied in-person. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Starbucks
Interview
I only had one interview and it went pretty quick. The reason being is I developed within the company and moved up the ranks. Here's what it came down to: I knew the lingo, I knew the store that I worked at like the back of my hand, and I had awesome leadership to guide me in that direction

Question 1
Most interesting question was: If you were asked to deploy, would you? (Seeing as I'm in the military reserves)
