I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks in Apr 2010
Interview
I was a regular at my local Starbucks and the manager one day asked if I was looking for a job. We had a 1on1 interview that last about 40 minutes. It was a relaxed interview in which we just talked about the company and what I'm looking for. It was required that I had another interview with a different store manager. The interview was again 40 minutes but the questions were more about my past job experience and why I'd be a good fit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why would you be a good fit working at this store?
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
