I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Starbucks (Falls Church, VA) in Jan 2011
Interview
I applied online and listed four store locations at which I was interested in working. The application consisted of a long questionnaire about previous experience, work ethic, and interpersonal skills. There was also a place to enter work experience, along the lines of a traditional resume. I received a phone call within one week. I interviewed at a single store. The interview lasted between thirty and forty minutes with the store manager, and I was offered the job at the conclusion of the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How and whether have you had to cope with an employee, including a person of the same experience level, who was not able to perform his or her job take effectively?
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
