I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process was pretty straightforward and relaxed. I applied online and was contacted by the store manager a few days later to schedule an interview. It was an in-person, one-on-one interview that lasted around 20–30 minutes. The manager asked about my availability, how I handle fast-paced environments, and a few situational questions like how I’d deal with a difficult customer or a busy rush. Overall, the conversation felt friendly and low-pressure. They mainly wanted to get a sense of my personality and customer service skills. I heard back within a few days with an offer.
First interview went well, just the basic behavioral questions that should be answered using the STAR method. Second interview was less questions but with the district manager. Still waiting to hear back (if they reach out at all).

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to navigate a situation where the supervisor wasn’t available.
Received an email asking to schedule an interview for the following week. The interview took place in the store itself, and took about 15 minutes. The questions were pretty average.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
