⭐ Interview Experience - Test Manager Role at Standard Chartered Bank Interview Process: I recently interviewed for the Test Manager position at Standard Chartered Bank. The process began with a HackerRank coding assessment, which was well-organized and clearly structured. Candidates who performed well were shortlisted for the next round of interviews. The coding test concluded around 11:30 AM, and the interview results were shared between 12:30 PM and 3 PM, following a lunch break. My turn came much later in the day, and I was interviewed around 5:30 PM. Experience: Unfortunately, the final interview experience was somewhat disappointing. The session felt rushed, and the questions asked were not fully aligned with the Test Manager role expectations- focusing very little on leadership, strategic QA direction, or delivery management. It appeared the panel was wrapping up quickly toward the end of the day, which limited the depth of the discussion. Feedback/Suggestion: To enhance the overall candidate experience, I would suggest conducting the initial rounds virtually, followed by a scheduled in-person final round for shortlisted candidates. This approach would ensure better time management and a more focused interaction, while also demonstrating respect for candidates’ time and effort. Overall Impression: The recruitment process started well, but the final interaction could have been more structured and role-specific. I still appreciate the opportunity and hope the feedback helps improve future interview experiences.
