Springer Nature Software Engineer interview questions

The process took almost two months. I sent a CV, heard back about my CV being sent to the hiring manager right away, and didn't hear again from them in a month. Then, I was told they wanted me to do a coding test which was not very difficult. I sent it for them to review it, and was invited to an on site interview. It was one hour with some technical and background questions, followed by one hour for a pair programming test related to the code I had sent, and another hour about soft skills and company culture. The whole process was a bit disorganised and frustrating for me. The on site interviewers thought I had had a technical Skype screener before, which I was never told about. The agenda and address for the interview was only sent to me one hour before I left for the interview. They told me I'd hear about the interview result the day after, but it took them almost 10 days to come back to me with an answer. The onsite interview was not bad, but overall they seemed rather unorganised.

CV was given to their recruiter who sent me a coding test to complete within a week. Clear instructions, along with direction on what they were looking for (tests, good commit messages etc). On site interview was a pair programming exercise with two engineers to initially explain submission, with questioning to check how much you understand particular concepts used and then went on to develop new features with the interviewers. A second interview with two different engineers was a more general cultural / fit style interview with lots of broad questions.
