First round:
- Very easy hackerrank question
Second round:
- Talk about a past tech project
- Culture
Third round:
- Two design interviews
- Culture
It's quite usual in that there is minimal checks on your programming skills and everything is quite focused on system design.
The recruiter is one of the best I've ever met, who kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and tried her very best to help me prepare for those interviews.
Unfortunately I didn't do so well in one of the design interviews and only got an offer for a non-senior position.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Skyscanner in Nov 2019
Interview
Call with recruiter for a general introduction
Programming assignment two hour timed test with ability to prepare framework beforehand
Technical background call, one on one with an engineer to discuss previous experience
Two system design calls, one on one with two different engineers to design two systems
Culture fit call, call about personality and how I reacted in different situations
The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Skyscanner
Interview
Very disappointing process.
1. Round1, What is your best project? Asks very naive follow up questions, was not able to answer basic queries regarding technical culture.
2. Round2, Behavioural questions.
Lacks creativity and proper feedback process.
