I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Skyscanner (Londres, Inglaterra) in Sep 2017
Interview
Terrible experience overall. I would've rated it below negative if such an option existed on glassdoor.
Interviews:
They conducted an elaborate song and dance about culture, when they seemed unclear about their technical expectations from a candidate. The hard problem rounds were actually more about quickly cobbling together an end to end application with little focus on the candidate's understanding of the subsystems being used. In fact, displaying depth seems to work against the candidate since there was an urge get something out that "looks complete". It's almost as if they're interviewing a systems integrator in the name of a staff/principal engineer. I also found them dishonest in their feedback: couple of interviewers told me at the end of their interviews that they liked the quality of my responses, and after the debrief those very responses were "insufficient". I gathered from the recruiter's feedback that they hero-worship one of their senior engineers, and his views seem to flip the rest of the panel around regardless of their initial views. That's a big red flag to me.
Logistics:
The so-called "onsite" was just a series of video interviews considering how fragmented their teams are across locations. Their recruiters were very slow in responding, taking weeks to respond after each milestone. I also got a sense that they actually didn't care about the candidate's experience though their made appropriate noises for the sake of it. Overall from a candidate's standpoint, it seems like an arbitrarily run outfit like a day-1 startup. They seem to work within an echo chamber and are simply looking to hire candidates that sound more like them. I'd hence discourage any senior from applying if you care about growth. If you're a fresher, you could still consider joining them to gain initial industry experience here. But that's about it. I don't see anyone building a career here.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Skyscanner (Edimburgo, Escocia) in Apr 2025
Interview
Very pleasant interview process. It is a 3 step process, the first part speaking about a project you've worked on. Then followed by 2 back to back interviews: a system design interview and a culture fit.
You don't interview with anyone with the team throughout the whole process. But I believe they give you the chance to speak to the manager of the team if they make an offer.
There was no programming exercise which I found refreshing and nice.
Nice and easy interview process. 1 screening round, system design and behavioural round. System design round went well. I came to know behavioural had lower scoring but then turned out positive.
