This had to be the messiest process I've ever been privy to. Internal HR personal reached out to me about a role, and upon asking a few follow up questions I expressed interest and never heard back. An internal recruiter contacted me a week later about the same role, but different information and when I told her the answer I had gotten from HR to clarify she responded "well if that's the case nobody has told me". I gave the benefit of the doubt and thought the company might be going through changes and set up an interview for the role. The interview invite had a totally different title attached to it and when I followed up the first HR employee gave me 3 different job recs and said I would be a good fit for all of them and the interview would cover all three. In the actual interview the hiring manager asked me which role I was interviewing for, and when I told her my experience with HR she asked which role I think I would best fit and to "pick one". I have always relied on internal personal to take my skills, qualifications, and knowledge about what I'm looking for in a team/department and make a recommendation in interviews like this, so this was off-putting. I decided at that point to let it be, maybe this wasn't the right fit for me, and 3 weeks later the initial HR employee reached out to ask if I was interested in the same role as I would be a good fit like I never interviewed there (and I have a very unique name so it's not as if there are multiple on any job board in the area). The whole experience left me thinking this company is either highly disorganized or everyone is incredibly overworked, neither is a good sign.
