I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Sanofi (París) in Oct 2022
Interview
I applied end of May, supported by an internal recommendation. The process lasted 5 months (no typo here). During the whole process and out of 5 interviews, I spoke with 1 person from Sanofi. Everything else was externalized to consulting companies, including the final interview where a BCG consultant who had obviously not read my resume, cover letter and list of publications beforehand and spent an hour asking questions about topics absent from the job description. I was asked questions about a dataset that was described verbally without any way to visualize it or interact with it, focusing on a topic that wasn't part of the job description and that I had no experience in. I was moved through 3 different positions (Data Scientist Junior, Data Analyst Senior, Data Analyst Junior). I had to request information about this final interview as it was just scheduled without any additional information about its purpose or what it would focus on. Despite the length of the process and analytical focus of the position(s), and although I was presented with an assignment quickly testing my SQL and Python knowledge, at no point was I provided with a dataset to report on.
