I applied for a Senior Research Engineer position. I went to an on-site interview within two weeks after a couple of screening calls: 1. A face-to-face video interview and 2. A screening call with the talent acquisition team.
The bad part: My on-site interview experience was not good. They are not ready to have me on-site and there was a lot of overlook in the preparations - I was helpless and rushed through the process. Some of the interviews with higher management got canceled without a note - all I have to do is just wait during the timeslot doing nothing. After that, I heard nothing! I felt both manager, senior leadership and, talent acquisition are very sloppy and unhappy people. They just don't care or value your time for being there.
The good part: All the employees and team members that I talked to personally during one-on-one's and during the lunch are really nice and gave me a good glimpse of the company and try answer my questions well.
At the end of the day, I felt my time there was wasted but happy that I got to meet with some professional employees of Saint-Gobain.
