So they fly you up to location where Schlumberger is currently working oil or gas rigs. The first night its about you and 16 other people. They make you do some stupid things like pick a color and depending on which color you have to sing a song, dance, or say what your favorite cartoon character is and why. Then some presentations start that you and your partner(s) are suppose to work on before you get up there. If you want to get hired by these guys make sure you have your bases covered on your presentation. Then at some point you eat dinner and watch some lifestyle videos, the videos they make you watch seem like documentaries where at the end the person commits suicide. Then at about 11:30 p.m. they make you do an entire team group building exercise, for me it was everybody pick a number then write it down and place it into a balloon and blow it up. Everybody throws the balloons around and you take a balloon pop and take the number inside it. Then the recruiters tell you to sit in order from the highest number to the lowest. Some more groups present. Then they make you count off for a small group team building exercise. For me it was making a something with a little bit of tape, 3 sheets of paper and some rubber bands that can hold an egg and not allow it to break when dropped from about 15 feet. The curve ball in this exercise they take one of your group members and send them to another group for about 15 minutes and then you get them back. Then comes egg drop time and this rubbed me the wrong way, every group was standing around being like we don't want to go first, being the leader of my group I was like just drop ours its got to be dropped sometime and the French Islander recruiter was like okay your group goes last. By the end of the next day I was ready to slap this annoying recruiter. After that some groups present and they talk about benefits. The whole first night shabang ends at about 2 am. The next day you will have to wake up at about 630. Eat breakfast and go to a oil rig site. This was about the only part of the interview I enjoyed because I've never actually be to an oil rig site (in my case it was actually a natural gas well). Then they take you to lunch for us it was Chick-fil-a. After lunch we went to Schlumberger's home base in the Conway area where they have a lot of their equipment for different oil well services. Then you go back your hotel and you have an exit interview. The second day you have to fill out some paperwork sort of picking where and what divisions you want to work in, they don't really give you enough time to do this except on the bus which it is very easy to get car sick in (I don't normally get car sick in but I did in this bus), another thing which annoyed me. After you have a little time to take a shower you have your exit interview, depending on what place in the order you get on the exit interview schedule. You turn you paperwork in and they ask you pretty basic questions. Just tell them why you would love to work for Schlumberger. After this they take you to a nice restaurant and they actually encourage you to get some hard drinks! I like this about them after all the crap they put you through during the interview process they have the decency to buy you a drink. They even paid for the people who went to the bar after dinner, I didn't go because I was ready to go to sleep. My advice if you want a job ask a lot of questions, good questions not stupid crap. Overall the interview process was decent before I went I thought I wanted to work for the company but about halfway through I decided it wasn't for me, so therefore I feel like the interview process accomplished what it should have and they bought me drinks!
