I applied online. I interviewed at Rover.com (New York, NY)
Interview
I applied online and heard about a week later to set up a phone interview.
The phone interview was a discussion with the hiring manager. The conversation seemed to go really well and he was understanding that this was an entry level position so would be willing to train specific skills that I did not already have. At the end of the phone call he told me he would be sending me an assessment for me to complete.
I received the assessment and spent a good amount of time on it. I submitted my assessment and heard about 7 days later that I was not selected for the role via a very impersonal rejection email. Maybe it would be best to do the assessment later in the interview process if they cannot spend an extra 5 minutes to write a decent rejection email. The rejection email was the same type you receive after you submitted an application and didn't hear back for 5 weeks, not a response you would expect after spending 2 hours on an assessment for them.
