Roche Senior Scientist interview questions

Spoke to a recruiter at first who took the first 25 min of the conversation giving me a history lesson and sales pitch on roche. I told him what my salary desired was and while the recruiter said it was a bit on the high end, they would speak with the hiring team and if it worked, we can proceed to interviews. A few days later, i get invited to a few rounds of interview and a few exercises which to discuss during a presentation. All goes well and I hear that they want to make an offer.. 20% less than what i told the recruiter was my current salary. Roche wasted my time and theirs.
