I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Roche in Nov 2021
Interview
Spoke to a recruiter at first who took the first 25 min of the conversation giving me a history lesson and sales pitch on roche. I told him what my salary desired was and while the recruiter said it was a bit on the high end, they would speak with the hiring team and if it worked, we can proceed to interviews. A few days later, i get invited to a few rounds of interview and a few exercises which to discuss during a presentation. All goes well and I hear that they want to make an offer.. 20% less than what i told the recruiter was my current salary.
Roche wasted my time and theirs.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Roche (Santa Clara, CA) in Feb 2020
Interview
The interviewer was from HR and clearly didn't have knowledge of certain questions I had pertaining to the position and still tried to answer giving me vague answers that were just the questions reworded. In addition, they called me fifteen minutes late and though I offered to reschedule, they proceeded anyway insisting it was fine. It clearly wasn't because they rushed through the entire interview process, offering vague answers and even being rude. I have never had a more disrespectful interview.
Initial contact by recruiter followed by screening video with hiring manager.
Next, was invited to a 3 hour session. This consisted of 30 minute technical presentation followed by multiple interviews with senior and junior staff members. Original invite did not specify any topic; however half way through the presentation delivery, the hiring manager was miffed that I did not present on my current work.
Additionally the hiring manager misconstrued the content of my resume.
