      Creative Leader Interview

      Dec 7, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Dulles, VA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ricoh (Dulles, VA) in Dec 2014

      Interview

The initial interview was a phone screening, everything was set up electronically. The interviewer was someone from corporate, not the site I was applying for and clearly knew nothing about it, nor about my field whatsoever. Her job was only to take down my answers to her generic questions, and it much like talking to a robot rather than a human. This did not make me enthused about working there. Next, I had an onsite interview with me and then received the offer. I felt mislead as I wasn't clear I was going to be a contractor. I was confused when I arrived at the customer's campus, not sure I was in the right place. They use the customer site name to lure people in. I was given a tour around the beautiful customer's campus, thinking that's where I would be working, only to find out later on once hired, I would be working in a windowless warehouse building directly behind the campus building. Other employees have also felt their interview is a "bait and switch," when they describe what actual duties you will have and they make sure to use plenty of buzzwords to lure you in so that you think its a good job but it isnt necessarily what you will actually be doing since they are always short staffed. During my interview, I felt good about the job because the interviewee was very conversational and did nearly all the talking.
