      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ricoh (West Seattle, WA) in Dec 2013

      Interview

The manager was flexible in finding a location that I could get to easily for the interview. They ask the usual mandatory questions that every employer asks ("...tell me about a time you had a difficult customer situation and how you handled it...") but also asked many job-related and individually tailored questions pertaining to personality type, best working environments, what motivates you, what's your learning style, how much experience do you have with this type of job... The interview was an hour and the manager had studied my resume and credentials before the interview; he was prepared to ask specific questions and get meaningful, relevant answers. It was professional, but low pressure. It took a very long time to get on-boarded; nearly 4 weeks between the interview and the start-work date. Same experience in getting promoted 18-months later; interview contained the generic questions as well as personal ones, and (again, though worth it) the on-boarding was slow.

      Question 1

"What qualities do you like/respect most in a manager?"
      1 Answer

      Question 2

"What do you want to be making (salary) in this position?" -I really appreciated this question because it cuts out all the wait-and-see, as salary is often one of the last things you find out about.

      Interview

I was interviewed by the site manager. She was thorough and very nice. The site manager had you at ease and the interview was more like catching up with an old friend. I did not get the job I interviewed for (Supervisor), I was offered an Assistant Manager position couple weeks later.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ricoh (West Seattle, WA) in Mar 2018

      Interview

Applied online. Recruiter emailed me within a week. Interview was in person. Overall it was a very simple, easy going interview. Except the person asked me more than once about being overqualified. This is code for being too old for the position. If I applied for the job, then it's a job I'm interested in. But this is clearly a company that doesn't want to hire anyone over the age of 40, illegal or not.
