I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (Londres, Inglaterra) in May 2024
Interview
Absolutely amateur, one of the worst interview processes I've ever been through and a complete waste of time for all involved.
A recruiter initially reached out to me on LinkedIn, set up a screening call for the following week. Very standard.
Following this (and being told there's 6 rounds, which itself is a red flag) I was invited to the "problem solving" interview, effectively a consulting case interview.
It was initially arranged for 2 weeks time (again, red flag, no one seems to be ready for the process). Week of the interview it is rearranged for the following week.
Interview finally arrives, the interviewer couldn't be less bothered and clearly didn't want to be there.
They opened the case study interview and then proceeded to half ignore me, answering messages at the same time as listening to me working through the case.
On multiple occasions they gave me an answer that when I took forward they then disagreed with. E.g.
Me: "Why is [x] a problem?"
Them: "Because of [y]"
Me: "Interesting, and what's the impact of [y]? Can I assume [z]?"
Them: "No, [z] is not an issue"
Me: "OK, then why is [y] a problem?"
Them: "There is no problem with [y]"
One of the most frustrating exchanges I've had in a long time. The interviewer on fully engaged at the end when the case part was over and I asked questions about their experience of Revolut - spent 10 minutes of the 30 minute interview saying how much they enjoyed their team having to work so hard.

Interview
It was quite bad whereby the screening process involved having to do a scenario-based presentation, as you would expect to do once you've gone past the Talent Acquisition phase. I completely understand needing to hire the best, but this was very laborious, given it was at the very beginning of the process. Also, the requirements included sharing screenshots from previous work, which was sensitive information that professionally, I would not share with another company. It was a strange ask considering Revolut themselves are a Financial Institution, where they should have an appreciation of company sensitive info/confidentiality
As a candidate for the Product Manager role at Revolut, I found the interview process to be quite comprehensive. The interviews were more conversational and not overly difficult, however case study was time-consuming.
