Great experience with initial interview with recruiter. Took an aptitude test, then was scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager and another leader in the department. Only one interviewer showed up, and it felt like they were just going through the motions in my opinion. It's been quite some time and I still haven't received any communication regarding next steps, or even a simple rejection e-mail.
The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Revolut in Jan 2021
Interview
The screening call with the recruiter and the interview with the hiring manager were pretty decent. I also had to take an online test related to math and logic.
As the next stage of the process, there was a business case discussion for them to analyze if I have an “adequate” thought process. The business case was not related to the field that I applied to. Over the course my questions, this person was extremely unprofessional and demonstrated impatience, interrupted me during my thought process and was very rough on his answers. He rushed the meeting to finish earlier and simply hang up (no proper debriefing).
It was a complete waste of time and energy, I also think this step is useless, we could be using the meeting time to deep dive in my experience and how I can add value to the role I am applying to.
Good process, recruiter and hiring manager did a good job in terms of setting expectations. Recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn and we had 2 video conferences. The interview process at Revolut has various stages and each of the interviewers have veto power over the candidate hiring decision. My first interview was with the recruiter to basically gauge my interest in the opportunity and learn more about my career experiences. The second interview was with the hiring manager. There are additional interviews with functional leaders and peers.
