I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Revolut (Spain, GA)
Interview
Very negative experience. I participated in 2 interviews - one for senior and one for junior position. The HR person was very kind and spent his time on explaining what can be expected - so I have spent in total 2 days for tests and preparations which were a part of the process. The test was the first thing that came in (before even a chat with someone) with a list of instructions and links on how to prepare for it. Test was completed for 96%. Then there was a meeting with the hiring manager h**self - the person was late for the interview and asked for some time to read through my CV. Apparently the manager was looking for somebody with a very specific skill set - questions that I received was very specific for fintech and without a prior experience it is impossible to know what the manager wants from you in a reply. That was a hard pass (which I could understand), but the feedback literally made me extremely frustrated - straight-forward "you don't understand the basics of your own field" in which I worked for years. Okay, that was sad, but I understood where the manager came from. I still tried my luck and asked for an interview for a basic accounting position - requirement was 1+ year of experience, and I had more than 7. The interview was great, I responded to everything, the manager explained that the position is usually a very manual accounting work and usually you get only one account (or several) to book for whilst I was working with 100% consolidation of all accounts and then reporting and controlling it further on. I felt that I nailed it, and surprisingly received a feedback that I'm not a match because I lack experience.....
The level of my frustration is very high. Processes take very long time, and I genuinely don't understand who these people are looking for. The first rejection was understandable but the second one was just a joke.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
According to IFRS, what would be the formula for this specific account? How would you track down the discrepancy on the account connected to currency crypto/fx exchange? Describe in details what do you do during month-end by specific days?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Revolut
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin and wanted to have a chat about an open role. Then they asked me to complete an SHL test, which is really backwards as it has nothing to do with the skills/experience required for the role and it is NOT an inclusive thing to do. It then took them 2 weeks and 3 follow up emails to turn around to say my results deviated from their benchmark. There is no indication of what this benchmark is nor how it relates to the role.
If you are going to treat experienced professionals like this, you will end up with workforce that is not very diverse. Reading some of the reviews here, it feels like I'm better off without working for Revolut anyway.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut in Jul 2020
Interview
Initial interview and conversation with HR on background and experience and more about the advertised role and questions I might have. Relaxed and conversational. Standard information gathering and questions asked were not difficult.
