I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX
Interview
very standard. a recruiter called to set up the interview. the online application that you fill out before the interview (but after you've already applied against a req) is pretty time consuming. the frustrating thing was that there was no contact after the interview. they just cancelled the req about a month later and i didn't even receive an email.

Question 1
they asked some standard questions. one was about a challenging situation
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in May 2018
Interview
Absolutely wonderful. It was clear what was going to happen each step of the way. Applied in late March, heard back late April and invited to Tucson, AZ hiring event at the JW in mid May. Stayed for three nights with one day being an all day info session/networking event and the next day being all day interviews.
After the interviews, found out around 5PM that I got the offer (no salary attached) but I appreciated that there wasn't an anxious waiting period. Following Tuesday was called to pick which department I wanted to join. Finally, on Friday, 2 weeks after the end of the interview, I received the official offer with salary and details attached.
Process was positive. I felt like they really spoiled me out there with the hotel, food, people, and events. Really enjoyed the setup. I was worried that it was going to be awkward as the interviews were kind of done in "cubicle farms" but as I interviewed, you really are in the zone and don't hear the people next to your at all.
Both interviews I had were 45 minutes-60 minutes long (they give 45 minute blocks and 15 minutes for the interviewers to review you on the spot via some tablet. Questions were behavioral and situational so the questions I took from people here are very helpful as well as standard ones you can google. They did ask me to elaborate on tools I used (Creo) as that is their main modelling tool here.

Question 1
What is the difference between leadership and management
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Feb 2018
Interview
A recruiter called me and asked me to apply for two of their jobs in Tucson because apparently I was the perfect fit for two positions. Had phone interview with nothing technical in particular. Then they asked if I wanted to go for personal interview to Tucson. They flew me to Tucson, although I mentioned on my weed out interview I didn't meet one one of the required skills, by then I was already thinking something was shady. They put me in this $200+ a night hotel along with about 50+ candidates for two nights, gave us tours of
their installations, had two interviews on the last day but no offer. The whole process seemed to me more like Raytheon needs to spend some of the budget in flying candidates for interviews, perhaps there is a clause in their newly acquired contract that stipulates they have to do that. They are spending thousands of taxpayer dollars in fruitless interviews. Beware although they mention all expenses are covered they won't if you don't follow their policy to the dot.

Question 1
Very general knowledge questions about about systems administration. If you know Linux or Windows you should be able to answer them. Three people interview board, two of them technical knowledgeable, oddly the lead interviewer in my opinion lacked the technical knowledge.
