This was a great experience and I feel like I've learnt so much from it. Very grateful for the opportunity as the feedback was invaluable. I would highly recommend applying and pursuing a role with this fantastic company
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at PwC in May 2022
Interview
First Round
- HR person took first round
- Asked about my previous role & responsibilities
- Asked the name of recruitment agency through which my profile was shared with them
- Asked if I am holding any offers- Answered yes, clearly said we will not be able to give counter offer then why have you appeared for the interview
- Asked and drilled down why I left the last organisation
- Asked and tried to understand the reason why I took a break and left the las organisation without an offer in hand
- Told clearly that PwC has policies which does not entertain employees with a break without any reason. The reasons have to be reasonable like maternity leave or sabbatical only.
Suggestion:
Being the Big 4, you are expected to be arrogant, paying less, least bothered about employees.
But you should start understanding and taking care of mental health of your employees too.
Employees are human beings and not machinery that would work without a break.
Not every break would justify to be on paper and formalised. To your surprise, employees have started taking a break before their machinery break downs while continuously working for employers like you.
I had taken an informed decision and a well planned break and future of people like me definitely is beyond understanding of types like PwC.

All possible questions directed at rejecting the candidate and sound like candidate is a fool and how did he even think of appearing for PwC when he has committed a crime of taking a break just for leisure.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PwC in Apr 2022
Interview
Only SAP - ABAP technical questions were asked. No question was asked related to leadership skills or otherwise.
Overall a very bad experience, they call every month for an interview and then say that the process is starting all over again. They don't even have a clear JD. God knows what are they seeking by interviewing the candidate every month.
