Telephone interview followed by a seminar with multiple different levels , asked to deliver a marketing plan as a group for a new range of clothing launch.
Then straight into a face to face interview , who you got was depending on your performance in the group exercise. The interview was with another store manager and a people and culture manager.
Face to face went really well, group presentation was poor on reflection. It was a learn.
The part that is totally unacceptable is when recruiters and people and culture leaders spend large portions of the interview time telling you how people centric they are and how great they treat people. They set clear expectations with me when they would follow up with me (5-7 days) with feedback. They didn’t do this.
I didn’t get the job I’m experienced to understand that I wasn’t the candidate for them.
It’s disrespectful to candidates when you ask them at short notice to study and complete research and move plans around then don’t even have the decency to pick up the phone and thank people for taking the time out to applying and giving them the outcome.. This is the bare minimum candidates deserve.
Unacceptable.
Poor show.
