Orange Chef De Projet interview questions

After applying on LinkedIn, I was called and given a very restrictive timeframe for the interview (two fixed options). I made changes in my schedule and had the interview within 2 days of the call. The interview had lots of questions and technical situation analysis, but went well I thought. At the end, I was asked to indicate a desired salary, without any range of the pay for the open position, although I specifically asked for it. I was not given feedback whether that is low, medium or high in their understanding. I was told it will take 1-2 days to get an answer. I was not contacted for 10 days after the interview, and only received a rejection email after I reached out for feedback. This was a general rejection and had no constructive feedback or reason for rejection. I am 99% sure I asked for too much money, which they could have avoided had they been transparent on their pay range. I found them rigid and disrespectful towards their prospective employees.
