I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Octopus Energy (Brighton, Inglaterra) in Jul 2021
Interview
I was initially contacted by Joshua Evans who explained everything I needed to know and took me through the whole process. Joshua was extremely helpful, he made sure I knew what to expect and provided guidance on how I might prepare. The interview process begins with a 'Discovery Day' which is a great way to get to know the team and ask any questions about the company and the role. During the day the candidates take part in group activities, for example, a customer service focused activity and a creative activity. They allow you to display how you would approach and deal with a certain scenario, how you would think creatively to come up with new ideas and also how well you work in a team. There is a dedicated Q&A section of the day, providing plenty of opportunity to ask current employees any questions. If you perform well in the discovery day, a one-on-one interview is appointed which allows the company to get to know you more and vice versa. This also gives you a further opportunity to talk about your skills and experience and why you would be a great fit for the company.

Interview
There are far too many interview stages for this role. As this is advertised as a customer service specialist, it is a glorified call centre agent. A 5-step interview process is quite excessive for a low paid call centre roll like this.
