The role was with the Electric vehicle side of the business. I applied via the Tatentful website and had an initial phone interview, I was then invited to a face-to-face at their offices in Soho (think hot, sweaty call centre). I was told I would receive feedback by the end of the week but to my surprise, I was called the next day and invited in for another interview with the Head of Growth and Director of Operations. On my way home from this interview, I was called and asked if I could have a further phone interview with the Head of Innovation and Technology later that day as the CEO is off. All the interviews went well, the second was much formal than the first and I was called by the recruiter who said the feedback had been great and that I should basically expect an offer after the weekend. After the weekend I was sent a maths and verbal reasoning test to complete which was totally unexpected. I completed the tests and was told my score was too low and they wouldn't proceed. I genuinely believe it was a way to get me out of the process as my salary expectations were £5K above what they wanted to pay despite being transparent from my first conversation and being told it would be fine/negotiable. There was no salary being advertised on the advert. All in all, I had 2 phone interivews, 2 face-to-face interviews with 6 people out of the 14 person EV team.
