I interviewed at every major healthcare hospital organization in the greater Atlanta metro area this spring, and I ultimately chose Northside based on how valued I felt during this interview process, and also how accessible the HR and recruitment staff were when I had questions. Everything was very straightforward, and every question was answered quickly. I felt like I wasn't seeking to work with them - they were seeking me as a candidate. No other hospital org did that for me, and it made a big difference.
I applied for the new grad residency program online. I was contacted and had a phone interview on a Tuesday for a Thursday in person panel interview (which was breakfast and catered). I was at the interview location for three hours with several other applicants, and then went on a tour of the Atlanta Northside facility. We got to talk to the interview panel as a group over breakfast and then had one on one interviews. We also had access to the recruiters while we waited for our turn to interview in order to ask any and all questions we had.
We all took a shuttle over to the Atlanta campus and had a tour with a clinician who answered all our questions and oriented us to the hospital for over an hour. We were then shuttled back to our cars. The whole process took about 5 hours, but was very informative and relaxed. We also got goody bags and snacks and refreshments throughout.
I was given information about salary and benefits the same day I was asked to interview, and I was called approximately 4 hours after I interviewed and was told I was getting my first choice of departments.
