Question 1
It has been a long time since I was interviewed, however I would suggest revising up to date relevant topics in Theatre practice. I would also suggest having an answer for what you can / will you bring to the department.
First it is required to do fill in the application form which includes your employment history, education, references and most importantly a supporting statement. Then, there is an assessment if you are successfully shortlisted, if successful in the assessment, you are then invited for an interview.
