After applying you immediately get an assessment test before they checked your documents, which I passed, only to be rejected afterwards - wasted my time and did not leave a good impression.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Munich Re (München, Bavaria) in Feb 2023
Interview
First call with recruiter. Uneventful, mainly few questions about background and shared typical interview process. Then 2 rounds with hiring manager and peer. First one was 1h, behavioral and technical questions about DS concepts, motivation, how would you deal with different situations. Second round was 2,5h long. Very repetitive with respect to first one. Main difference was a business case you had to prepare and present at the end. Behavioral questions are odd to say the least. They go all over asking about personality traits, hobbies, strengths/weaknesses, and sometimes the typical past experience scenario questions. Interview felt very poorly crafted to collect insights on candidate. After this round, they failed to proactively provide feedback, and when prompted shared generic “other candidates with a better matching profile are more advanced in the process”. In all interviews I asked them to elaborate on a typical project and how work was like. Unable to provide a straight answer. Do not recommend this company. They do not seem to know what they are doing.

Question 1
Random Forest vs. GLM How to evaluate ML models? What are your hobbies?
Excellent interview process, interviewers not prepared with tailored questions to CV. Obviously none has gone through it. Despite the requested business case preparation takes days to be professional, only two out of the five interviewers within four rounds had gone through the CV.
