Interview
Applied in July 2019, got my first feedback in October when I was asked to meet with a recruiter on my university campus. We had a ~30 minute interview with mostly technical questions, but also a few minutes for general discussion. A final series of on-site interviews was scheduled for the middle of December, but had to be moved earlier due to other offer deadlines I had. The on-site interviews involved meeting with four members of the same team, and each one had one or two technical exercises with whiteboard coding which had an initial solution and were then gradually improved, either by adding functionality or increasing performance. The next day, I got an email with positive feedback but was told that the team I interviewed with was already at capacity, so my recruiter would need to find a new team. After around a month of talking back and forth, we found a placement that worked and I received a final offer, which I accepted.
I would give a thumbs up for the whole process but (1) it took really too long in my opinion and (2) it seems strange that I was interviewed by a team that wasn't actively hiring.

Was a typical first round recruiter screen - pretty straightforward but didn't end up getting moved vforwards. Prompt, Professional and overall a good experience. They asked me about my background, explained the role and it was with the recruitment team.
